Our Story

Sky Manor Air Repair and Avionics is a full service General Aviation maintenance, repair, and avionics facility located at Sky Manor Airport (N40) in Pittstown, New Jersey.  Our business took flight in 2012 with a mission to provide nothing short of the very best in customer service. As pilots ourselves we understand the concept of ‘On Time and On Budget’.

We also appreciate what it means to be listened to. Questions such as, “Is my concern truly understood?” and “Will my aircraft be treated as well as or better than I would treat it myself?” are very important.

It’s for this reason that we set out to assemble a team of professionals that are committed to providing a level of care and attention to detail that will exceed your expectations. From the moment your appointment is scheduled until after you return to flight, we are here to ensure that your service experience is exceptional.

The Facility

We have two spacious hangars that provide a clean, and protected indoor work environment. A large ramp area in front of our hangars ensures plenty of available parking. You can find us adjacent to the fuel pumps – which consistently offer the lowest fuel price in the area.

Our beautiful and very active airfield and maintenance facility in central New Jersey is accessible from nearby metropolitan centers of New York and Philadelphia.  We cater to owners of single and light twin GA, experimental, and warbird aircraft..

Product lines we represent include; Garmin, Aspen, Avidyne, Appareo/Stratus, L3 Aviation/Lynx, PS Engineering, FreeFlight, Genesys/S-Tec Autopilots, among others.

Parts Supply

We are fully stocked with an inventory of common parts and supplies for quick on-field repairs. Most non-stocking parts are available in one day for fast service turnaround.

What's in the shop?
Last week we had to send a propeller out to be overhauled. Today the propeller is back and ready to be reinstalled on the PA28-236. We are sure the owner is excited to get back in the air!

How often should you Overhaul your Propeller?
Depending on the manufacturer, it can be anywhere between 1000-2000 flight hours or 5-7 years; whichever comes first. Check your manufacturer's guidelines to see what your propeller requires.
If there was a propeller strike or even a chip in the propeller it is good to have it looked over by your mechanic to help determine what the next steps are. Sometimes the chips can be smoothed out. Other times the entire propeller may need to be sent to the propeller shop to be fixed.
